Mandusa Returns

I got a spiffy new picture of our Male Medusa character by FallenAngel.  Urbanmusiq/Leon De Leon and Aneroes drew him up a couple years ago.  He's been waiting patiently to return every since.  (And collecting thousands of hits in the process!)  He's crawled out of the darkness and into the light.  He's enjoying the warmth of the spring sun and sea air, just outside his temple, now that winter has ended.
This image was going to ring in the spring season.  It would have been perfect to do so, after yesterdays super warm weather.  Sadly, we were hit with a giant snow storm today.  It was so bad that most companies let their employees out early.  Will old man winter ever retire for the year?  >__<

Final Fantays II's 'Side Dick' in Nintendo Power

Back in November of 1991, Nintendo Power did a big article about Final Fantasy 2. Among the pictures was one that caught special attention from a lot of people. It was of Dragoon Kain and in it, he shows off a little more then expected.

Looks like Kain leveled up and needs a new cup to put his cock and balls in. This one is too small! I remember be very turned on by this. (Not to mention completely shocked!) I guess it's kinda tame by todays standards. I have heard people mention this from time to time on the net, but I haven't ever seen anyone make a big deal out of it. Still when I was 14, I would take any side dick I could get!

Nintendo Power is no stranger to controversial images. One I found recently, I don't know if anyone has seen before. The Astyanax preview in March of 1990 (the same issue the previewed Super Mario 3), has an image of the hero fighting Medusa. If you look just above the snakes head, you might just be able to make out the outline of a nipple! How this one got past the censors, I'll never know.

The hero Astyanax is pretty cute. Check out his original design for the arcade version called The Lord of King:

One thing about the early days of Nintendo Power, they certainly had some sweet art. Unfortunately, that didn't remain consistent when the magazine entered the 90s.

This is cool, since Tengen would actually use the cartoon version of Pac-Man and the Ghost Monsters for the box and box of their unauthorized port of the game.

I Want It: Clash of the Titans Handheld Game From Japan

I made this discovery while watching some old handheld commercials on Youtube. The last commercial featured on a set was of a very interesting game called Fights of the Titan by Epoch. Made in 1983, you would assume it was made to attract fans of the film Clash of the Titans. The big question is, was this supposed to be a Clash of the Titans game originally? I doubt you'll find many answers. These kinds of rip off games were very common back then, so I would guess it was never going to be an official product, especially when you look at the date of production; 1983. (2 years after the film came out.) I was lucky enough to find some really big photos of the box and unit, so I thought i would share them. Just check out the lavish designs. Man, this stuff makes me long for the early days of video games. The presentation on the box blows away anything from this generation. (Though I will give Kid Icarus props for doing a lot with it's art.)

The box has the Hero Perseus jumping back as he fights a gorgon and a monster. Medusa stands in the background ready to nail him with an arrow. How exciting! Then look at the side. Perseus holding Andromeda in his arms as Medusas temple burns in the background. OMG I would have been on my knees begging my parents for this! LOL!

And it doesn't end there. Check out the romantic image of them as constellations, reaching for each other! AWWWWWWWE! That might even attract some young girls and gay boys. XD Hee hee Nice marketing! :P

For some reason, the instructions are in English. Hey, works for me!

This is what I love about Game & Watch style games. So many did such fantastic things with the art. Look at how the characters are done like ancient Greek/Roman art! That is just too cool. You just don't see people doing things like this today. This blew me away, creatively speaking, then anything I saw at E3. XD

Here's the other side of the box, explaining the monsters and objectives I am guessing. Anyone care to translate?

Even the game itself is given the look of a temple with big pillars supporting it's roof. Classy.

Here's the video with the commercial. It starts at about 2:31. The guy that plays Perseus is pretty cute. You almost get a butt shot when he jumps in at the start!

New Male Medusa OC By Leon De Leon and Aneros And a Look at Uprisings Thanatos

One thing I did like in Kid Icarus Uprising was they way they handled Medusa. She was given a lot of style. I like how they played her straight, portraying her as a big boss character and not trying to force her into any kind of comedic banter. I liked her new look a lot and they at least they briefly brought back a bit of her old classic look as well. What I didn't like was how, after focusing so much of the games marketing on her, she all but vanishes after chapter 9. Chapter 9 of 25 levels. :( It took them two decades to bring her back and she's not even in half of the game. That's a big rip off. Hopefully she'll come back in part 4, if they ever get around to that. Nonetheless, her appearance in the game is with out a doubt one of the most memorable returns in video game history. It was nice while it lasted at least. U__U

When I talked to Leon De Leon about doing Pit Icarus, I also brought up doing a male version of Medusa. Instead of using the games design, we decided to go for a unique design based more on the Clash of the Titans Medusa instead. The best part was the character created turn out to be a strong black character with wicked, WICKED snake dreads!!! Our Gorgan may be more noble then the classic monster. I can see him as a strong brave warrior. His proud chest and bulging muscles seem to hold a heart of gold, not one of wicked intent.

I was very impressed with the fantastic art by Leon and the amazing colouring by Aneros.
He added lots of great details, especially on the snakes. He added some groves to show where the snakes were joining into the head. The skin sorta rises there. It's a cool effect.
The background created the perfect setting and mood for this creature.
The entire piece looks like a portrait from an old book, or life size portrait found in a dark secluded section of a museum. In my local museum, the ROM they would have this very tight areas very little light. There would be wall size pictures and displays that were all very haunting. He very much reminds me of the those painting there. He's creepy, but ever so sexy! XD Thanks very much guys! This has to be in my top 10 of the year already. ;D

Now on the opposite end of characters going black, we have something actually found in the new Uprising game. O__O

Some fans have complained about Medusas reduced role in Uprising and it seems that just as many are unhappy with what became of at least one of her snakes. In the final battle of Kid Icarus on Nintendo, Medusa would launch her snakes called Tanatos at you. Their name was simply meant to mean death. The writers of Uprising have Tanatos becoming Thanatos, the God of the Dead. This is a character that has risen some controversy among players and onlookers alike.
Basically Thanatos is now said to be a shape shifter. My question is, why did he turn himself into a black faced cannibal stereotype? Just look at any Little Nemo, or some such comic, or cartoon from back in the day and you'll see many characters that look like this guy running around in Africa. From his big lips, skull jewelry, exposed torso and belly, to the humorously baggy pants (that look like they were obtained from his last unfortunate meal) there's very little denying the negative caricature he portrays. It's not the 1930s anymore Nintendo. How long exactly are we expected to give Japan a free pass on cultural insensitivity? I understand that Japan is a little behind the times, when it comes to race relations. There are places in Japan that don't allow foreigners to eat, or even enter. Problem is, this game isn't marketed only within the land of the rising sun. I wonder how people outside of Japan will reflect on this character as time goes on?

Now I must say, I personally don't get too offended by characters like this. It's not my battle. I've watched so many cartoons and read so many old comics, that I guess I can see where the racism lies and where it really doesn't. The thing is though, things fall under a different standard that were made almost a century ago, to something made in the 21st century. Maybe this assumption is a bit harsh, but I'm going to call a spade a spade here, the heck with it. When has Nintendo ever created a positive black character?

Sadly that's not the only stereotype he embodies. Thanatos is also horrifically flamboyant. He's possibly an even stronger gay stereotype then Disco Kid. I'm not sure if, as a gay person I should be offended that this character comes off like a gay bozo the clown. Should I also feel disgrace that a company I support, Nintendo in this day in age, isn't willing to churn out more positive gay characters? Food for thought I guess. It doesn't really bother me that much to be honest. His voice is more annoying then anything else. What do you guys think?

The real issue for many fans, myself included, it felt very strange that Medusas snake was turned into this flamboyant creature. It was even stranger that he later comes back as a dragon, but not as a snake. He never makes mention of Medusa in any conversation and shows no disdain at you for beating her either. For a creature that was supposed to be part of her, his lack of allegiance is fairly shocking. One has to wonder why they even tried to make a connection to Medusa in the first place and not just keep him as an original character? I guess they wanted a forth commander, but if so, why not allow him to revert to a snake at some point? They had no problem turning him into tons of other silly shapes:
The Bat I get, but what does a Russian Egg doll have to do with death? I guess they are creepy....

On a side note, I personally I think his design is a bit to busy. What's with the branches coming out of his back and the sperm ghosts set in permanent decent towards his chest? Why is his body made of a stone like substance if he's shape shifter? Why not smooth, or scaly skin instead?
Anyway, the bottom line is, some fans are reading into all this as yet another fuck you to the original game. That's never a good thing. >___< I can't help but feel the same way, unfortunately.

Oh and speaking of stereotypes...

well...let's not even go there.

Too Much Medusa!!!

Between Kid Icarus Uprising, Both Clash of the Titans films being replayed multiple times on TV and the release of Wrath of Titans, March and April were two months of Mythology overload for me. It's a good thing, but it's starting to dominate my imagination these days. Medusa, Pit and Perseus are having a hard time staying in their old worlds these days....

I got this really suburbly drawn image from FallenAngel last night. I really can't say enough about how much I like his Pit. He's so darn sweet! It's nice to see him fully clothed! XD Fallen spent a lot of time on this one. He was having too much fun with those snakes. They remind me of the snakes on the Medusa in Sexy Parodius. She's a very nice anime homage to Harryhausen. Just before he colored it, he threw on Bubo, in bobble head form, no less! :P What a joker he is! Hmmm I think it's time for a Pit and Perseus pairing, don't you guys think?
Thanks so much Fallen! :D

Clash of the Titans FallenAngel Style

Between all the Kid Icarus stuff and checking out Wrath of the Titans last week, I got a little nostalgic for some stuff based on the classic 1981 Clash of the Titans film. So FallenAngel and I came up with the concept for an Anime movie poster for the film. I wonder how many people will see this and think it's an upcoming comic? :P Fallen took time and care on working on this. The concept was fun to come up with and even more fun to watch him create. I think he did a splendid job capturing all the cast members. At one point Bubo was on lookout sitting on a branch. Fallen placed him in a more exciting pose the next day, fighting along side Pegasus against the infamous Kraken. :P I hope you guys enjoy this blast from the past post. We have more of these characters coming soon!
PS guys, sorry for the horrible spaces between images, the small previews and the left alignment. Google made some changes yesterday and things are not working right.

While looking for refs for Fallen I went onto E-bay. I found some cool stuff and thought I would share it. I remember seeing the Crash of the Titans Board game at school bizarre sales. I never owned it though. I wish I did, cause it's worth close to $90. It looks pretty fun too.
Somebody wants $500 for this Canadian box of Sugar Crisp with the Clash of the Titans on it. O__O Even with a complete set of the photos, I think that's a bit too high. I wonder if the box of Cap'n Crunch with all the Disney's Hercules Stickers I saved is worth anything?

My favorite item is this resin Medusa from the film. I have seen these around for years. It's usually the same seller selling them on E-bay as well. They even offer a professional to paint and put the model together for you, if you fear you lack the skills. I am really tempted to pick her up one day and give it a try. Medusa is a favorite character of mine.
Certainly the cutest thing I found was this Bubo Bobble head. I would pick him up in a second if I ever saw him!

Sexy Rex by the Celestial Sea By Leon De Leon and Caravaggia

Hey guys and girls...sorry for the long absence. This week has been terribly busy for me. I'm straing to get back into focus, despite a severe ear infection. (So if this blog post is a little wonky I apologize in advance.) To start I have this simply gorgeous sketch of Rex drenched in a yummy ice cream green by Caravaggia. This Rex has his Shamrock Shake on! :P

Out of the four sketches that Leon did and Caravaggia colored, I would be very hard pressed to pick a favorite. Rex is a tough one to beat I must say. He has such a perfect figure. Carvaggia uses that firelight so well to lilluminate very inch of his beautiful body. Urbanmusiq provides an epic torso topped with a fuzzy chest. I really enjoy the shape of his big thick cock. That shaft has some impressive girth to it and those balls could hardly fit in the palms of my hands. Caravaggia certainly gives him a very creamy look all joking aside. It's a perfect skin tone for Rex and the light pink colour of his cock head fits so perfectly with the skin tone. Artist have experimented a lot with him, bringing so many fantastic renditions. I think we may just have found his final color scheme here. Yesterday I dreamed I was on that beach. You know a picture is good when you dream of the beach in the background. Sadly Rex was no where to be found. SIGH!

I have to bring this to everyones attention. You guys know I am a sucker for Medusa and when Leon first told me he was gonna be drawing a take on Hercules and the gorgon, I was extremely excited. I got sneak peek about a month ago. He had drawn this for an Artboy exhibit along with 2 other fantastic images. This one is my personal favorite and I had to share it here.
Leons Spartan outfit of Hercules is very light in nature...I hope it's not cold in that temple of Medusa. His Hercules really fills out those leather undies well doesn't he? You can check out his full gallery, including the other two images he did for the exhibit below. I am not sure if they are still for sale, or not.

He also took the time to color a Greek Warrior Sketch for David Kawena recently. Hope David likes it. :)

And finally speaking of Medusa, yes I did pre-order Kid Icarus Uprising through Amazon so I could get the original NES game in 3D. Looks like that was a smart choice because I still don't see a release date for it in the e-shop.

Sadly Kid Icarus is the Japanese version, so I there is some missing content. None of the codes will work for starters. The game uses a save file system like it did in Japan. I am sorry to report that once you beat it, you can't reply it with all your power arrows and life bars intact. You have to start from scratch again and that SUCKS. They did at least add in elements from the North American ending. The music is taken from the Famicom Disk system version as well. I never thought it was better, just different. Would have been nice if they could have given the option to play the game with either soundtrack. Doesn't seem like that is something that should be difficult in 2012. It's just another case of Nintendos My way, or the highway policy with their games. They sure love to say fuck you to their fans don't they? The game is also a lot easier. Well, either that or I am getting better. By Level 2-2 I was completely powered up to the max. They also took about 20 mins to make the graphics look nicer. They added in some backgrounds that range from cheap and generic to somewhat decent and fitting. Nothing really feels too inspired by the original game, save for maybe the last couple of worlds. Their inclusion is at least welcome and added a bit of excitement to the game. The graphics seem to have been tweaked and given a few more tones as well. Still, the screen is shrunk on the top screen with no option to expand it. BAH...

I don't remember ever leveling up this fast before, but who knows? I might have. The setting sun was a nice touch. Reminds me of Rygar a bit.

Angels and He-Men

Today I have a super hot exclusive from Jcartblog! I asked him to do He-Man for me. JC said it was the buggiest buffest boy he ever drew!

Check out that package! Huge bulging muscles all over the place! He asked me if I wanted the breast armor on and I think I made the right choice not covering that up! That is one hot chest. That hair is just so sweet. I think JC's new colouring style is outstanding. It makes his art look so smooth. The blue eyes are so nice I went with a larger image upload to show them off here better! XD
I like how the armor and clothes are just kind of slipping off. He-Man is getting ready to take care of that ragger JC gave him! And speaking of the awesome meat, Jcartblog gave him quite the impressive circumcision scar. He-Man is fast becoming one of my top favorite commed imaged from him. The background, mixed with the characters natural tan has made this a pin up for the ages! :)

Thanks JC! Jcartblog is currently taking commissions to make some Christmas money, please feel free to look into that! :)

Now it's time to go back to the start of my Commission days...way back to what I think might very well have been my 14th Commission. The Artist from NYC known as Seraphicreverie is known for her muscular images of Seph and Cell. At this time I really wanted to have someone portray a muscular Pit Icarus. Something I have mentioned is how it is unknown that he does grow to this size during the games ending. A very hot feature I really must keep exploiting! ^_^ Seraphicreverie came up with an image that quickly became legend. It started to spread like mad all over the net from the moment it was posted.

I remember my instructions being very simple. I wanted them both uncut with the foreskin on Icarus moving a bit over the head. A sexy male Medusa, built, but not as much as the powerhouse Pit. I got more then expected! Check out the hair on Icarus, it fades as it goes into the background. There are many nice details here. The snakes are fantastic! So many poses! XD

My reaction at the time:

Check out the skills on display here! Have ever seen a hunkier Icarus? And Medusa turns one part of me to stone, that's for sure!
What an amazing job! The huge green uncut cock drives me crazy! I just can't get over how hot this is. Someone call Nintendo, this is what I want to see in the next game!

I have to say I return to this image again and again. It's one of my favorites and touched me very dearly as it was done with great care and respect in a time when I was new, vulnerable and bursting with ideas and dreams. Seraphicreverie is an artist that deserves a lot more thanks then I can give, it was people like her that kept me going in my early days on Y. :)

And in Honor of her image, I asked Fallenangel to take on the characters as well!

Here is his wonderful take on Male Medusa and Kid Icarus! Don't look into his eyes Pit!

My Reaction was a little gross at the start! LOL:

so much cum...when I opened this I swear I could smell it! XD ewwwe ha ha ha!:heart:
Wow man, your Pit looks just like the game version! He's hot!!! Love the foreskin action. So hot..:heart:
I think the star here is that sexy Medusa! He is FINE! I love all the snakes. You did so many I can tell it was a lot of work for sure. I love his face, it's so sexy! The scales, so sweet. Mmmm I could sex that green penis all night! LOL
Thanks man!!! :heart::kiss:

I don't know what to say, Medusas neck is freaking hot. There's something about it!!! And that thick FORESKIN on Icarus....pant pant...need to take it easy... LOL.
Fallen used the Smash Bros Model for Pit. Though I have to say he looks a bit buffer here and I love that. Ha ha ha..those undies falling down his leg are hot! Heavenly sex!

There's more He-Man and Icarus on the way! :)

To end todays blog I wanted to share a very different style of image! Some time ago I asked Tonberryknight to take on Mega Man and Cut Man. I just had to see these two classic characters done in her style. Another blog exclusive!

A sexy bulging version of Mega and Cut fighting it out!

The colours are so vibrant in this image! Check out the packages and the nipples! Very very hot!!! Cut man turned out sexy..ha ha That's hard to do considering how cute and cartoony he is in the game! I so love the boots she gave Mega Man. I just want to peel off that outfit. XD Really great action packed stuff! These guys are really sexy and all this has given me some new concept ideas. So what do you guys think? Should I ask Tonberry to take this to an erotic level next year? :P

An early sketch with Mega Man using blasters to fly.

Thanks Tonberryknight, this one has inspired me a lot! :)
