John Carter Of Mars Double Treat

Continuing the Series of John Carter of Mars meets Disney's Tarzan, we have FallenAngel taking on the two immortal heroes. This time the men are engaged in a little light frot and some heavy foreskin tugging. Tarzan needs to wrap his arm around John Carter just to stand up, the pleasure is so intense. I wonder how Tarzan gets to Mars? XD

Fallen did an excellent job on both guys. Really love the coloring, really gives their muscles some great girth. I wonder what will happen next? You know our little series of Tarzan interacting with John Carter are not the first of it's kind. In fact in the official strips they appeared in even less clothing together! XD

Ha ha ha, but of course we have them doing a lot more then showing off their naked bums and talking. :P

Speaking of wanting to show more then bums, after all the talk of how Disney was handling John Carter, all the images we do together and all the art I have been shoveling on Facebook, FallenAngel got inspired and drew his very own spectacular take on John Carter and Dejah Thoris! I love this image with all my heart and had to request to post it up. Anime John Carter with his wild spiky hair, cute little eyes and long sexy...LEGS is just too much. And that's not even getting into the beautiful Dejah and of course his third leg. Ah, it's so nice to see an original take on John, fully exposed just as in the books! :D Edgar would be proud Fallen! hee hee!
I hope this will not be the last we see of these two lovers of Barsoom in your style.

John does at least get a lot of shirtless scenes in the movie. Too bad Woola does pull off that bothersome oversized loincloth. Back you vagina faced beast!

FallenAngel sent me this newspaper clipping from a local theater. Seems they are giving away image changing mugs, notebooks and more to lucky contest winners. I haven't seen these mugs anywhere before. Something for Collectors to keep an eye out for.

The Hidden Penis of Micheal Whelans John Carter of Mars Revealed?

Okay before you think I am going all X-Files, no this is not gonna become a conspiracy blog! Yesterday Busiris asked me if the Mars books were porny. Well, no, they are not porny. The comics do bring in some sex, but the novels are more passionate then anything else. The lustful bond between John and Dejah is so strong and so pure that your imagination will run wild. The fact that John runs around basically naked as I have mentioned doesn't hurt either. There is an actual comic out there where the artist drew all the characters in the nude. It's a good interpretation, except for the fact that all the characters are well, pretty ugly. So that kind ruins the elegant eternal youth of the people the book describes.

Getting back to the blog topic, I have been a huge admirer of the Micheal Whelans covers for the John Carter of Mars series that he produced in the late 70's and early 80's for Del Ray Books for some time. So much so that I have sought out these copies on E-bay and in book shops. I think that he, along with Joe Jusko are the two artists that really did an excellent job capturing the characters. They created designs that truly matched the descriptions in the books. That being said, you have to wonder to what lengths he might have gone in capturing the spirit of the book.
I was getting some refs for an artist yesterday when my viewer increased the size of his Princess of Mars book cover. I glanced over at John Carter and noticed something between his legs. Now call me crazy and I am sure you will, but when you look at the area just right you can clearly make out the head and shaft of a circumcised penis. You can also kinda make out his testicles as well. Now you have to wonder, did he originally intend to show John Carters penis and was rejected by the publisher? Did he lightly paint over what was there, leaving hints that only could be found my increasing the image, using technology he never would have thought the common public would have? XD I thought John might have some cloth around his waist, but no, it's just shadows. John is naked here from the waist down. He has what may be a belt, but that's about it. Like the infamous face of Mars, am I just seeing something that isn't there? XD Well you be judge!






Now here are a couple things to note that might support this. Just like in the book, Dejah has exposed breast and does not appear to have any covering over her vagina, or bottom. You will notice the Tharks are naked around the groin, but are covered up. As you can see in his later covers, he was not afraid to draw John in the nude.

FallenAngel Does the Royalty of Helium

Another one of my favorite commissions only to appear on this blog is here for you to enjoy. Yep, it's more John Carter of Mars! This time he is joined by the eternally lovely Dejah Thoris. I showed FallenAngel the first and eleventh comic from the Carter Comics to provide inspiration for this image. He created a classic sci-fi pose of heroism and love, as Johns stands bold with Dejah clinging to his stern frame.
I really respect how Fallen has taken the classic 70's comics and mixed it with a retro anime look, giving John big side burns for example! I really think the light blue tones in his blue raspberry hair also aid to this feel. John is just great with his strong chest, powerful slender legs and big arms. Every muscle including his cut cock gleams! Dehah the red princess is just beautiful too. Sleek, slender and sexy. I can't get enough of her big hair!
This one of my very favorite pieces Fallen has done this year. I just get this feeling that had Japan picked up John during the same period, this would have been exactly the kind of look they would have went after.

Oh that dang Martian wind!
