Minotaur and Horse Headed Hunk Statues!
Patrick Fillion recently sent me these pictures of magnificent Minotaur statures. We both have no idea who created them, but we sure would love to find out! They would add some special to anybodies home made labyrinth! Years ago I found images of a statue of a horse headed hunk. It was for sale around the turn of the century. I wonder if the two are related in some way? Probably not, but it would be nice to think that the person had luck with the horse and went on to do these ones. :)

When I saw these two statutes, a Chinese traditional imaginary creatures was pumped up. It exactly like these two statutes. In Chinese myth, these two creatures are responsible to collection spirit (whatever human or anything alive) who dead to the hell (the different meaning to the catholic's hell) to have a judge by "Enmao" (just like the "God" in the catholic's).
ReplyDeleteThat's very interesting. Do you have any images of those creatures to share? :)

ReplyDeleteNice! Thanks for sharing these!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I found the minotaur through a reverse Google image search.*
* In case anyone here doesn't know, there are a few ways to do this from the normal Google image search:
1.) Click the camera on the right end of the search box, then enter a web address.
2.) Click the camera on the right end of the search box, click the "Upload and image" tab, then browse for the pic on your hard drive.
3.) Find the folder on your hard drive where the pic is, then drag the filename from the folder onto the search box.
Thanks Aaron! I updated the blog! ^__^
DeleteNice piece of work, just notice no tail was added to these hunkies - FallenAngel
